The minutes of the July 2022 meeting were approved as presented. Janis McDill provided copies of the treasurer’s report.

Discussion was held on upcoming movies. The board reviewed copies of a poster Abby Elkins created presenting advertising options for business ads to be shown before the movies start. The board will speak to personnel in theaters in the surrounding counties to learn how they create and show ads.

Discussion was held on raising concessions prices. The board approved to raise the price of drinks to $1.50. The price of candy will remain at $2 and the price of popcorn will remain at $1 for a large and $.50 for a small.

Discussion was held on the ice cream social fundraiser. The donations totaled $1,476.85. USD 107 has not yet billed JCCI for the kitchen worker. The board discussed having two fundraisers a year. The State will be contacted to find out what JCCI would have to do to be able to offer a jackpot for the games.

A tall ladder is needed to change out the broken neon tubing on the marquee.

The movie show times will remain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. More volunteers are needed to run the theater.

JCCI received a donation of $118.65 from Giving Donations Foundation, Inc.

JCCI was notified it can purchase a warranty on the computer software for $120 per year. Thadd will contact Sonic for more information.

It was suggested showing an old movie occasionally so research will be done to see what is available.

The Formoso Fun Day committee has contacted the board for movie gift certificates as game prizes. They will receive two adult movie certificates and two child movie certificates.

The next meeting will be September 26.
