The Jewell County Commissioners met October 3. Commissioners Steve Greene, Brent Beck and Keith Roe and Carla J. Waugh, county clerk, were present.

Rex Boley, USD 107 superintendent, reported on building improvements. He said the district hired a part-time nurse. Mr. Boley also discussed changing the location of the entrance at the high school.

Shannon Meier, ambulance director, provided a billing report and activity report for the month of September. He discussed Medicare and Medicaid payments. He had a quote to purchase an ambulance that has been a demonstration model. The commissioner...
