The Lawrence-Nelson High School football team has high hopes as they head into the playoff season. The Raiders clinched their playoff spot with a 76-18 win over the Deshler Dragons at Lawrence, Friday.

Deshler stunned the Raiders with a sustained opening drive to score the first touchdown. After the realization set in that they could not overlook the team they were playing, Lawrence-Nelson settled down and dominated the outclassed Dragons.

The tough part of the season now lies ahead. The playoffs up the ante for each team and the competition is stiffer. Mistakes can be costly. The team need to...
