It’s been a busy week. Robert rolled in Thursday evening. He is on leave, and I get to keep him for a whole week. I’m so happy to have him home. We picked up Jack and Nicholas on Friday, and it was a nice change to have the house alive over the weekend. It’s too quiet without the kids. I do admit, though, the quiet is not always that bad.
I got a letter from Jacob today, and he says Camp Penelton is H-E double hockey sticks, but he is pushing through. He also said being squad leader sucked! He hasn’t received any mail since he got up there and that makes me sad, because in the two weeks he has been there I have sent three letters and I know I am not the only one.
I finally have the yard kept up, and fingers crossed will be able to keep it up until around April of 2023! LOL! Robert helped me get the rest of the front porch primed, so at least our entryway looks nice. I hope to get the rest of my Halloween decor up before the weekend.
Having Robert home makes writing a little difficult because he is his momma’s son, a chatty Cathy! I’ve told him three times in the last 10 minutes I need to concentrate on what I’m writing and not on what he has to say. LOL! Between him and the cat bugging me for attention, I may not get anything done today.
That’s all for this week. Let’s hope this next week gives me more exciting content to write about. Pray for all affected by the recent fires, for the safety of all harvesting, and for some moisture. X’s & O’s.
