The recent history of Sacred Heart parish in Lawrence has included bus trip pilgrimages to other church around the State of Nebraska. In spite of the COVID interruption of the annual trips the 2022 trip headed west.

Approximately 30 people enjoyed the trip on Oct. 25. Along with the Rev. Father Hottovy, they toured churches in Alma, Arapahoe, Indianola and Orleans along with the Marian shrine in Arapahoe. Some of the destinations were places that Father Hottovy helped with restoration projects. The group enjoyed lunch at Cambridge, Neb. and supper at the Minden Opera House.
