Jacob R. Nance was born on Feb. 20, 1998, in Clearwater, Fla., to Glenn and Sammie (Zimmerman) Nance. He died near Burr Oak, Kan., on Nov. 4, 2022, at the age of 24.

Jacob grew up in Mankato and attended Mankato Public Schools. He enjoyed working with his hands and worked as a mechanic on cars and trucks.

He is survived by his mother, Sammie Nance of Mankato;, grandmother, Myra Jo Bolt of Mankato; brothers, Kenneth Nance of Mankato; Stephen Nance and his wife, Niki, of Holiday, Fla.; and brother, Glenn Nance of Mankato.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Nance.
