Holiday activities ramping up; Candy Cane Lane opening

November 24, 2022

Bob Shannon (left) and Pam Frank sort through the wiring needed at Candy Cane Lane to make the music synchronize the computer driven light display near one of the shelter houses. Sunday, they anticipated working in warmer weather this week (highs in the low 50s) and opening Candy Cane Lane to the public, Friday.

The holiday season has arrived and this issue is filled with related advertisements.

Superior business firms will be participating in both Black Friday and Small Business Saturday with special features.

The 20th annual rendition of Candy Cane Lane opens Friday in Lincoln Park. The west portion of the park has been closed since Nov. 1 to allow the volunteers time to set up the displays. Work was continuing Wednesday but the volunteers were confident they would be ready for the scheduled opening on Friday. Hours will be extended on those nights the Superior Schools have special activities.
