Audrey Sunday 

Audrey Marie Sunday, the daughter of John and Marie (Fier) Lutzwick, was born on April 20, 1931, in Ivanhoe, Minnesota. She died Dec. 22, 2022, in the Good Samaritan Society home at Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 91 years, 8 months, 2 days.

Audrey attend- ed Ivanhoe Public school and graduated from St. Cecilia's High School.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nelson. She married Glen Sunday on May 6, 1950, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hastings. Six children were born to this union. While living in Hastings, she worked at the Rivoli Theatre and Davidsons Floral Shop.

Audrey was a homemaker while her children were growing up. During that time, she would strip and refinish furniture for customers. She retired from the Nelson Good Samaritan Center in the housekeeping department after 24 years.

She enjoyed collecting Mickey Mouse items. Audrey was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen, on April 2, 2016; son, Michael; and grandson, Michael Nelson; brother-in-law, Danny Rynearson; brothers- and sisters- in-law, John (Lydia) Sunday, Doyne Sunday, Virginia (Tino) Grasso, Bernadine "Pat" (Bill) Jerome and Charlotte Rose Sunday.

Survivors include her children: Jon Sunday of Camdenton, Missouri, Joseph Sunday and wife Judy of Osceola, Nebraska, Martin Sunday and wife DeAnn of Windsor, California; daughters:  Denise Leigh and husband Merle of Osage Beach, Missouri, Glenda Nelson and husband Kenneth of Orlando, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Jean Rynearson of Hastings; sister-in-law, Donna Marie (George) Parsons of Lake Placid, Florida; along with a host of friends and relatives.

Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, December 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Nelson, With the Rev. Ferdinand Boehme officiating. Eulogy was by Jason Sunday. Lector was Gary Ostdiek and altar servers were Jace and Joel Hoelting. Music was "Through the Years," "Old Rugged Cross" and "One Pair of Hands."

Pallbearers were Jason Sunday, glen Nelson, Corey Sunday, Justin Sunday, Jillian Sunday and Doug Hartman. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation was at 9 a.m. with the rosary was recited at 10 a.m. before her funeral at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment was in Nelson Cemetery.
