The Superior High School girls basketball team lost a nail biter, 42-37, to a strong C-1 Milford Eagles team in the opening round game of the Runza Holiday Tournament Wednesday. The Wildcats roared back, Thursday, with a 59-12 thrashing of the Mead Raiders. Superior topped the Wood River Eagles 59-38 Friday to improve their record to 8-2.

Superior stayed close to the 7-2 Milford Eagles but was unable to close the gap. The Wildcats led Mead 33-2 at the half and coasted to their 58-12 win. The Wildcats sprinted out to a 37-20 lead over Wood River after two quarters and never looked back as...
