Ed Duskie, Jewell, took the oath of office as Jewell County Commissioner First District on Monday, Jan. 9, at the courthouse. Duskie lives in Ionia Township and replaces Steve Greene who retired.

The First District is the southern part of the county, the south two tiers plus Washington Township which includes Montrose.
