Beguin serving as NC service officer

Nuckolls County veterans have a new service officer.

A resident of Superior, Wes Beguin, became responsible for veteran services in Nuckolls County on Dec. 20. Beguin may be new to the office but he is not new to Nuckolls County.

He attended school in Superior through his sixth, seventh and eighth grade years before the family moved to Concordia where he attended and graduated from high school.

After his high school graduation, he joined the Navy and became a Seabee. His five years with the navy took to him to places liked Cuba, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Germany, Ireland and Japan. He was dis...
