Lawrence-Nelson FFA have busy schedule

Lawrence-Nelson FFA had a successful District LDE contest on Jan. 25. Twenty-eight Raiders went to Aurora to compete in 11 events. Jasper Elledge earned district runner up and a trip to state in Discovery Speaking with his speech about cow dogs. Brody Buescher earned fourth and first alternate to state in Ag Literacy Speaking with his speech about John Deere. FFA members were gearing up for Spring CDEs at Central Community College, state degree interviews and National FFA Week.

Individual events:

Discovery Speaking: Bayleigh Bohlen – purple, Women in Rodeo History; Preslea Adams – blue, Cow Medicine

Senior Public Speaking: Bailey Ceder – purple, Malignant Melanoma in Gray Horses; Emily Watts – blue, The Mind Behind the Farmer

Junior Public Speaking: Natalie Jacobitz – purple, Mental Health Dominoes

Natural Resources Speaking: Sawyer Cox – red, Beavers in Natural Resources Management; Nathan Stokes – red, Trapping and Predator Control

Creed Speaking: Cody Funk - red

Extemporaneous Speaking: Nathan Elledge – blue

Employment Skills: Chad Holcomb – blue; Evan Jacobitz - red
