The Jewell County Commissioners met Feb. 6, with commissioners Brent Beck, Keith Roe and Ed Duskie present. Carla Waugh, county clerk attended the meeting.

Shannon Meier, ambulance director, reported a busy month for January. He reviewed the activity and billing reports for January.

The commissioners approved the revised employment agreement for the ambulance director.

The revised employment rules and regulations for the Jewell County Courthouse and elected officials were approved.

The road and bridge crews’ summer hours beginning March 19 through Oct. 28 passed unanimously.

Joel Elkins, general superintendent, discussed maintenance. Keith Roe discussed the maintenance of the asphalt on Y Road.

Don Jacobs, sheriff, discussed replacing the body cams and cell phones. He reported that Sierra Stephens started work as deputy.
