County receives new motor grader

County Board

 


The Nuckolls County Board of Commissioners met at the courthouse in Nelson Monday. All three members were present.

The board approved the 2023 bridge inspection agreement with Marinelli, Wagner and aAssociates. The road department ttok delivery of a new road mainter. It will be stationed in Nelson.

The board approved a utility permit for Viaero Fiber Network, LLC for it’s Nelson location. No further details were available as to what the plans are.

Sharon Hueftle, South Central Economic Development district manager, presented the orginization’s annual report to the board. She highlighted the progress of Superior in constucting housing.

Dustin Gay, Energized Electric, updated the board on the issues with the heating and air conditioning system in the courthouse. He cited supply chain and design issues. Gay noted he was actively working on resolving the issues. He also cdonsulted with the board on possible solutions for heating the hallways. It is thought the proposed relocation of the main entry door to the south side of the building, along with the installation of a ramp, would somewhat allviate the issue.

The board approved a resolution directing tax forclosures.

The board will meet at 8:30 a.m., Monday, March 20.

County Goverment Day for local high school stidents will be Monday, March 27, at the courthouse.
