Members of the Nelson Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad that were recognized at their annual Banquet Saturday night, at the Nelson Fire Hall included (back row from left to right); EMTs Carrie Miller - 5 years, Sandra Schendt - 20 years, Kevin Bogus - new member, and, John Hodge - 5 years. The Nelson Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad's 2023 Appreciation Dinner and Awards Banquet was held on Saturday at the fire hall in Nelson.
Nearly 80 people attended the banquet, including current and honorary members and honored guests. The meal was prepared and served by members of the department.
Following the meal, awards were presented to honored members and several guests were recognized.
Sandra Schendt was recognized for serving 20 years as an EMT. John Hodge and Carrie Miller were recognized for serving 5 years as EMTs. Kevin Bogus was introduced as a new member of the rescue...
