KSDAR State Regent visits North Central Kansas

April 13, 2023

Hosted by Desire Tobey Sears Chapter, Saturday, March 25, DAR members from several counties in North Central Kansas welcomed State Regent Rebecca Kline to Belleville. The historic home on M Street, owned by Jacob Wilber, was the setting for the nearly 30 Daughters of the American Revolution to greet State Regent Kline. The local DAR Chapters appreciated that Mr. Wilber was gracious enough to allow the group to host State Regent Kline and her guests. Also attending were Laura Renfro, state corresponding secretary; Mary Frisch, state parliamentarian; Brenda Dooley, honorary state regent; and Nancy Williams, NW district director. Several local members of Santa Fe Trail Society C. A. R. also attended.

Those attending heard of the goals and plans for the Kline Administration. These goals and plans will support the three pillars of DAR – historic preservation, education and patriotism. Each will encompass her theme of A Legacy of Liberty.

The United States is nearing its’ 250th birthday in 2026. Kansas Daughters are preparing to place an America 250 Our Patriots Marker at a soon to be decided site in northern Kansas.

A need based one-time scholarship will be awarded to an American Indian student enrolled at an accredited four-year institution, knowing the liberty that an education can provide.

Any remaining funds not used in the above categories will be credited to the KSDAR Scholarship Fund.
