The Lawrence-Nelson High School golf team was busy visiting Red Cloud for two matches . They competed at the Red Cloud triangular match last Tuesday and returned to the Red Cloud Golf Club for the Bob Bohrer Invitational on Thursday.
They finished in first place at the triangular match ahead of host Red Cloud and Blue Hill with a team score of 176.
They took first place at the Bob Bohrer Invite with a team score of 335 to top Doniphan-Trumbull, Exeter-Milligan, Sandy Creek, Red Cloud, Gibbon. Hastings St, Cecilia, Superior, Deshler, Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Franklin, Blue Hill and Heartland Lutheran.
The four lowest individual scores comprise the team score.
Toby Kotinek led the Raiders at the triangular match with his round of 47 for the nine-hole event. Bayln Bargen listed a round of 43 for the match. Conner Janda had a round of 44. Jacob Kathman was in with his round of 47. Krayton Kucera left the course with a round of 49.
Junior varsity team members who competed at the event were Clay Williams who produced a round of 41. Wyatt Hajny finished with a round of 45. Cody Brockman put away a round of 47. Carson Vaughn registered a round of 48. Nathan Elledge posted a round of 52. Hayden Mazour provided a round of 54. Will Dougherty added a round of 55. Bailey Ceder carded a round of 58. Claire Himmelberg was in the clubhouse with a round of 64. Evan Jacobitz had a round of 67.
Kotinek led the Raiders at the Bob Bohrer Invite with his 18-hole round of 77. Kucera registered a round of 84. BArgen was in with a round of 85. Hajny had a round of 89. Kathman rolled in with a round of 101.
Clay Williams was the first place medalist in the junior varsity match with a round of 88.
Kotinek led the individual medal list with his round of 77. Kucera was in fifth place. Bargen took home the seventh place medal.
The Raiders competed at the sandy Creek Invitational played over Clay center's Crooked Creek course Tuesday with match results unavailable at press time. The team competes at the Blue Hill Invitational, Tuesday, to be played over the Red Cloud Golf Club course.
