Cody Funk, Lawrence-Nelson, scratched in the high jump at the Del Wicks invite held in Deshler on Tuesday, but at the Franklin meet, Funk made it over the bar at five feet, two inches setting a personal record for himself.
The Lawrence-Nelson boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Del Wicks Invitational hosted by Deshler High School Thursday.
The girls team finished in eighth place, with 19 points, in the nine team field of Thayer Central, Meridian, Dorchester Public, Deshler, Rock Hills, Superior and Friend.
The boys team was in fifth place with 55 points.
The top eight finishers in individual events were awarded points at this meet.
Jessica Sole finished in fifth place in the girls 1600 meter run with her time of 7:28.75.
Sole took third place in the 3200 meter run with her time of 16:08.05.
