RHHS track at Beloit

The Rock Hills High School track and field teams competed at the Beloit Relays hosted by Beloit High School Friday.

The schools competing at the meet were divided into two divisions: 3A/4A and 1A/2A. Rock Hills competed in the 1A/2A. There were 20 schools in the 1A/2A division. The Rock Hills men finished in 12th place with 19 points. The girls were in 16th place with 8.5 points. Other schools in the division were Smith Center, Eli-Saline, Bennington, Osborne, Clifton-Clyde, Thunder Ridge, Republic County, Salina Sacred Heart, Marion, Pike Valley, Washington County, Tipton Catholic, Southern Cloud, St, John's-Beloit, Tescott, Lincoln, Sylvan-Lucas, Lakeside and Thomas More Prep-Marian.

Points are awarded to the first through sixth place finishers in an event. Some events hold preliminary heats to determine the makeup of the final field of eight.

Camden Ward ran a preliminary heat of the 100 meter dash in 12.81 seconds.

Isaiah Ridgeway finished in seventh place in the 200 meter dash with his time of 25.13 seconds.

Kobi Bowers had a time of 2:20.64 for the 800 meter dash. Bowers had a time of 5:15.81 for the 1600 meter dash.

Trystin Reynolds ran the 3200 meter run in 11:28.78.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team earned the third place points with their time of 46.25 seconds.

Ward cleared 5'4" for the high jump.

Cooper McDill was in fifth place in the long jump with his leap of 18'7,5".

Ward was in sixth place in the triple jump with his combined distance of 36'(".

Aaron Underwood had a toss of 36' for the shot put. Eli Vance had a best toss of 31'3.5".

Wyatt Evert hit the 127'5" mark for the javelin throw.

Bethany Simmelink was in fourth place in the girls 100 meter dash with her time of 13.51 seconds.

B. Simmelink held sixth place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 29.07 seconds.

Hannah Simmelink had a time of 1:12 for the 400 meter dash.

H. Simmelink recorded a time of 2:43.04 in the 800 meter run.

Camden Ward earned a sixth place finish in the triple jump for Rock Hills at the Beloit Relays Friday.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team listed a fifth place finish with a rime of 54.97 seconds.

Halle Mizner was in sixth place in the high jump with her height of 4'8". Lauren Whelchel was in seventh place with her bar clearing effort of 4'8".

Whelchel cleared 8' to take sixth place in the pole vault.

Grace Ayers hit 13'11.5" in the long jump. H. Simmelink covered 12'10".

Savannah Coil covered a combined distance of 30'2.25" for the triple jump. Carsyn Vizner had a combined distance of 26'8.5".

Faith Reinert hit 26'4.25" for the shot put.

Reinert had throw of 75'3" in the discus.

Rock Hills visited Tescott for the Tescott Invitational Tuesday with results unavailable at press time. Rock Hills hosts the Grizzly Invitational at Mankato Friday.
