Robert L. "Bob" Pope was born on March 5, 1943, in Colby, Kansas, the son of Lawrence R. and Thersa I. (Wilson) Pope. He died on May 3, 2023, at the age of 80, in Mankato, Kansas.

Bob graduated from Seldan (Kansas) High School. He was united in marriage to Sharon Greenberg. To this union three children were born. Robert and Sharon were later divorced.

Bob worked as a semi truck driver, and for the Baalman family near Menlo, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julie Pope; and son, Russ Pope.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Winter and Kari Morris (Vern) of Mankato; daughter-in-law, Londa Pope; grandchildren, Shawna, Alec, Chris, Cody, Megan and Mitchell; and brother, James "Jim" and his wife, Glee, of Arizona; , and his dog, Buddy. Bob is also survived by second family, Brian and Sheri Baalman.

A private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Jewell County Strong, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
