Rock Hills High School hosted the Grizzly Invitational track meet at Mankato Friday. The Grizzly girls finished in fourth place, with 51 points, in the 14 team field of Washington County, Osborne, Hanover, Republic County, Linn, Stockton, Thunder Ridge, Pike Valley, Smith Center, St, John’s, Lakeside, Tipton Catholic and Southern Cloud. The boys team was in 11th place with 23 points.

Republic County and Smith Center are 2A schools while the remaining schools are 1A.

Bethany Simmelink finished in second place in the girls 100 meter dash with her time of 13.59 seconds. Grace Ayers was in sixth place with her time of 14.08 seconds. Halle Mizner held seventh place with her time of 14.16 seconds.

B. Simmelink was in fourth place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 14.16 seconds.

B. Simmelink earned the third place points in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:09.81.

Hannah Simmelink listed third place in the 800 meter run with her time of 2:37.19.

H. Simmelink recorded a fourth place finish in the 1600 meter run with her time of 6:12.89. Peyton Zadina had a time of 8:03.94.

Zadina was in seventh place in the 3200 meter run with her time of 17:58.04.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Mizner, Savannah Coil, B. Simmelink and Ayers finished ins second place with their time of 53.57 seconds.

Faith Reinert had a toss of 28’2” for the shot put.

Reinert had a best throw of 66’ in the discus.

Reinert had a 82’.5” throw in the javelin.

Mizner recorded a fourth place finish in the high jump with her height of 4’10”.

Ayers was in second place in the long jump with her distance of 14’8”. H. Simmelink covered 13’6.25”.

Coil wrapped up second place in the triple jump with her combined distance of 31’3.25”.

Spencer Lindberg had a time of 12.97 seconds for the boys 100 yard dash. Eli Vance was clocked at 13.21 seconds.

Lindberg posted a time of 26.24 seconds for the 200 meter dash.

Kobi Bowers was in sixth place in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:17.5.

Trystyn Reynolds finished in sixth place in the 3200 meter run with his time of 11:48.57.

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Bowers, Cooper McDill, Reynolds and Camden Ward were in second place with their time of 9:03.18.

Aaron Underwood had a toss of 38’10.5” for the shot put. Eli Vance had a 31’3” effort.

Wyatt Evert held fifth place in the discus with his throw of 117’4”. Underwood had a throw of 100’8”. Lindberg had a best throw of 79’4”.

Evert held fifth place in the javelin with his throw of 121’.

Ward was in fourth place in the high jump with his height of 5’8”.

McDill landed the second place points in the long jump with his distance of 18’9.5”.

Ward was in sixth place in the triple jump with his combined distance of 37’2”.

The Grizzlies were scheduled to compete at the Northern Plains League meet, today (Thursday), at the Rock Hills track in Mankato. Inclement weather has caused the postponement of the meet until Friday with a noon start time.
