Go West young man . . . go west!


The Lawrence-Nelson Class of 2023 made a trip to the Elementary School last week to walk the halls one last time. That exclamation from over a hundred years ago rings true even now in the year 2023.

Seems that the Lawrence-Nelson High School Golf Team is planning to do just that . . . go west.

The reason for the trip is to take part in the State NSAA Class D Golf Tournament Tuesday and Wednesday at the Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte.

The Raiders won the trip by winning the District D-1 tournament in Grand Island last week. The boys carded a team best score of 335 for the champion title. Neighboring Sandy Creek also qualified for the State with a score of 358. The third team for an automatic berth...
