Corpus Christi celebration held in Catholic parishes

The Catholic Church has quite a number of "Feast Days" throughout each year and last Sunday was one of the more public displays. It was the Feast of Corpus Christi (The Body and Blood of Christ). In the two parishes for Lawrence and the one for Deweese, a procession was held from each church building to the three altars erected where adoration and blessings were held. In Lawrence, altars were at the homes of Ray and Kathy Rischling, Eileen Buschkoetter and Dolores Kucera. After the processions, all returned to the church for adoration and prayers.

At St. Stephen parish and the Our Lady of Assumption church in Deweese, altars were on parish grounds with short processions to each.

The events ended with dessert, coffee and refreshments at each parish.
