SHS grad heads to National High School Rodeo finals

Sadie Rempel will represent Nuckolls County when she competes at the National High School Rodeo finals being staged at Gillette, Wyoming, Sunday through Saturday, July 22.

Rempel earned her place at the national event after compiling points at various high school rodeo events across Nebraska. She will compete in pole bending and breakaway, a form of calf roping.

Sadie also competed on the youth rodeo circuit where she enjoyed great success. She has the saddles to prove it.

Sadie is a 2023 graduate of Superior High School. She was active in sports and the art club. Rempel is the daughter of Brent and Leah Rempel. She was raised north of Nelson .

Rempel will be attending Pratt Community College, Pratt, Kansas. in August.

She will compete on the College rodeo circuit as part of the college rodeo team. Pratt competes against college teams from Kansas and Oklahoma. They typically compete in five to six rodeos in the fall, take a break for the winter, and resume competition in the spring.

Sadie will travel with her parents and her horse to Gillette for the 75th anniversary rodeo of the association.

Competitors from 43 state, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand will entered in events.
