CarQuest store opening Tuesday

Will share space with Superior Implement

On Tuesday, the Superior Implement store on East Third Street will hold a grand opening of a new department.

In addition to the lines of farm, home and industrial equipment, the store is adding a Car Quest auto parts franchise.

An advertisement in this issue gives more information about the grand opening.

Car Quest has stores in a number of nearby communities including Red Cloud, Deshler, Smith Center, Belleville and Geneva.

Carquest was founded in 1974 and 40 years later was supplying 5,305 stores. Headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., the company is part of the Advance Auto Parts family which includes Worldpac and Autoparts International. Advance Autoparts claims to be the largest aftermarket parts provider in North America serving both the do-it-yourself and professional installer markets. The company was established in 1932 and purchased the Diehard battery brand from Sears.

Superior Implement is affiliated with farm equipment dealerships in Hebron and Geneva. The dealerships sell Case IH, Agco Hesston, Parker, Agco Sunflower, Vermeer. JCB .Hiniker, Kuhn, Landoll, MacDon, Rhino, KMW, Trimble, Westfield, Mayrath and Wheathart brands of equipment.

Superior Implement Company was created when the Burt family of Geneva purchased the Christensen & Son dearlership and relocated it to a new building on East Third Street.
