The Lawrence-Nelson Raiders kicked off the season Saturday with a scrimmage in Lawrence. The team will play in Superior on Friday.
The Lawrence-Nelson High School football team opens the 2023 season with Nuckolls County bragging rights on the line.
The Raiders, coming of an 8-2 season, will be the favorites when they travel to Superior to tangle with the Superior Wildcats. Superior fell to Alma, 74-6, in their season opener.
The Raiders have a wealth of experienced players returning and they will be looking to make a deep push into the post season .
