Dedra Raine Russell, the daughter of Harlan and Marthena (Konkel) DeGarmo Jr., was born on April 5, 1966, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She died on Sept. 2, 2023, at her mother's home in Elm- wood, Nebraska, the age of 57 years, 4 months, 28 days.

Dedra attended schools in Dixon, California, and Elmwood, Nebraska and was an Elmwood High School graduate and attended Peru State College for one year.
