James Joseph Rohan, the son of George and Pauline (Krick) Rohan, was born on May 20, 1952, in Spalding, Nebraska. He died Aug. 22, 2023, at Mary Lanning Healthcare at Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 71 years, 3 months, 2 days.

Jim was one of four children. He was a 1971 graduate of Spalding Academy and continued his education from Central Nebraska Technical College earning a vocational certificate of completion in heavy equipment technology in 1972.
