Addilyn "Addi" Crockett, a 2023 graduate at Bruning Davenport Unified School District, is one of 17 recipients of a D.J.'s Hero Award scholarship. She was presented the award at the D.J.'s Hero Awards Luncheon on May 7, at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. This scholarship is in memory of D.J. Sokol who lost his battle with cancer in 1999. The luncheon is The Salvation Army of Omaha's largest event of the year.
