The Lawrence Country Club finished up their golf season Sunday, with a 2-couple scramble and members’ banquet. The prime rib dinner was enjoyed by all. Eleven teams competed in the 2-couple scramble.
The winners in the championship flight were Keith and Carolyn Kohmetscher, Dale and Tami Kohmetscher golfing a 58. Second place went to Sam Nejezchleb and Greg Pohlmeier, Roy and Peg Faimon with a 61. Third place was won by Randy and Beth Himmelberg, Mitch and Angie Kathman with a 61.
The first flight winners were Brad and Emily Kohmetscher, Cole and Amber Epley with a 62. Second place went to Bob Hofstetter and Tara Bialas, Tim and Carla Kohmetscher with a 63. Third place with a score of 64 went to Rich and Karen Faimon, Dean and Sue Stromer.
Flag prize winners, No. 1 - longest putt on sand, Dale Kohmetscher 218”; No. 2 - closest to pin on tee Shot, Beth Himmelberg 106”; No. 3 - men’s longest drive in fairway, Brad Kohmetscher; No. 4 - closest to pin second shot, Angie Kathman 40”; No. 5 - women’s longest drive in fairway, Emily Ostdiek; No. 6 - closest to pin tee shot, Randy Himmelberg 71”, No. 7 - closest to Budweiser can, Bob Hofstetter; No. 8 - closest to pin second shot, Tim Kohmetscher; and No. 9 - longest putt, Tami Kohmetscher 74”.
Winners of the Club Tournament held on Sept. 10 were announced. Men’s Club Tournament winner was Randy Kohmetscher shooting a 69. Second was Dave Kohmetscher with a 70. Third went to Gary Buescher with a 71.
The first flight winners were first, Dale Kohmetscher with a 69, second, Greg Pohlmeier with a 76 and third, Johnny Himmelberg with a 77.
Ladies Club Tournament winner was Beth Himmelberg shooting a 78, second was Tami Kohmetscher with a 79. Third went to Carolyn Kohmetscher with a 86 and fourth went to Peggy Kohmetscher with an 87.
The first flight winners were first, Sam Nejezchleb with an 88, second, Angie Kathman with a 90, third went to Lacie Schroer 94 and fourth Emily Ostdiek shooting a 95.
