Brodstone Healthcare was thrilled to announce Treg Vyzourek, CEO, is a recipient of the Becker’s Hospital Review’s 67 Critical Access Hospital CEOs to Know award. This nationwide award recognizes the leaders who have successfully navigated their organizations through the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to focus on growing access to care as a valuable community resource.

Becker’s Hospital Review is a magazine for hospital business news and analysis for hospital and healthcare system executives. Becker’s Healthcare stated, “The CEOs awarded are innovators, dreaming up ways to improve safety, quality, outcomes, service lines, recruitment, retention and more. Knowing just how crucial community access hospitals are to the populations they serve, these CEOs are wholly dedicated to continuous improvement.”

Vyzourek was specifically commended for his leadership. Since his hire in 2018, Treg has led the organization through the implementation of a new electronic medical records system, led mental health service expansion and is currently undergoing a new construction project. In 2020, Brodstone was awarded a 5 star rating in quality and patient experience by CMS, only one of two facilities in the state of Nebraska to receive the double 5 star honor. Additionally, Brodstone has been named a top 100 critical access hospital by the National Rural Health Association 12 times, and a top 20 critical access hospital in 2020 and 2023. These honors demonstrate the quality care that Brodstone delivers to the communities served under Vyzourek’s leadership.
