Charles Edward Simmons, the son of Jacob and Flora (Fitzgerald) Simmons, was born on Oct. 30, 1951, in Camarillo, California. He died on Sept. 19, 2023, at the Bryan LGH Medical Center East at Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 71 years, 10 months, 20 days.
Charles was educated in schools in California and was a high school graduate of Camarillo High School. He previously lived in Camarillo and El Rancho, California, before making his home in Superior. While living in Superior, Charlie was employed at many establishments, including the Hilltop Café, the cook at the Hereford Inn until it’s closure, the Country Store and also the Velvet Rose. He enjoyed cooking, reading and time with his dogs, Sam and Max. He was a good friend and neighbor, and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Louise.
Survivors include his siblings: John, Richard, Clarence and Janet; and a host of friends.
Services will be held at a later date.
