Nelson American Legion, Sons of Legion and Legion Auxiliary members all had many ideas and event plannings to discuss during their meetings held last Thursday. Joint considerations included financial information; Veterans’ Day Ceremony, Veterans’ Day evening meal and program and community events including the Chili Cook-Off on Oct.15, and Trunk or Treat planning.
Announcements were that the District 10 executive committee will meet in Nelson on Saturday, Nov. 4, and all invited to attend. The Veterans’ Cemetery in Grand Island will be dedicated as a National Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov....
