The Superior Express -

A special meeting of the Mankato City Council was held on Oct. 17, pursuant to a call for a special meeting signed by Mayor Justin Schoonover. Present were Mayor Schoonover, councilmen Payne, Dauner and Ost. Councilmen Becker and Hennion were absent. Also present were Sharon McCormick, city clerk, and Darrell Miller, city attorney.

The purpose of the meeting was for discussion regarding the applications received for the position of city administrator and further action.

The commissioners offered Anthony M. Roy the position with an annual salary of $75,000 per year with a family Blue Cross-Blue Shield plan and an allowance of $1,500 for moving expense, and other benefits afforded to other city employees.
