Pumpkins at the Auditorium

November 2, 2023

A whiff of hamburgers, baked beans and popcorn filled the air Thursday. Upbeat music played in the background and above it a low roar of adult conversation and children chattering could be heard as families neared the entrance of the Pumpkins at the Auditorium fall festival. Children skipped along from oogie boogie, Plinko, cornhole toss and other games. They spoke of the games they played and candy received.

Triplet sisters Charolett, Luna and Alexis Twiggs, age 6, pose in front of the Ideal Market cut out photo opp board at the Pumpkin at the Auditorium festival.

Individuals and families enjoyed an appetizing meal provided by the auditorium committee and popcorn from Crest Theatre as a treat.

The children were in the spirit of things and came dressed up for the fall festival. The Mario brothers characters, pumpkins, cowboys, cowgirls, princesses, cheerleaders, a robot and a snail are just a few costumes the children wore.

There were photo opportunities at the Ideal Market photo stand-in board and upon exiting there was a wooden bench decorated with fall colors and potted seasonal flowers where folks could sit to take memorable photos.

The event was coordinated by the Superior Chamber of Commerce.
