Deweese, Nebraska, resident Bernard "Bud" E. Sykora, 70, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, at Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska.

A Rosary was prayed at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Deweese. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023, at the church with Father Denton Morris officiating. Interment followed at St. Martin's (Loucky) Cemetery near Deweese. Visitation was Friday, from 5 until 7 p.m., at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Deweese.
