Todd Garman

November 2, 2023

Todd Allan Garman, 55, of Belleville, Kansas, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, in Rochester, Minnesota. He was born March 22, 1968, in Manhattan, Kansas, to Terry K. Garman and Carol A. (Roe) Garman. Todd was the eldest of three children.

Todd and his family moved to Scandia, Kansas, in 1979, where they established their roots, and where Todd grew into the guy we all knew, cherished, and loved. Todd graduated Pike Valley High School in 1986, later attending Salina Technical College.

Following high school, Todd moved to Denver, Colorado, where he worked for a playground construction company. When the job slowed down in the off-season, he returned home to Scandia. Todd then became a CNA at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Belleville where his caring and compassionate nature made him greatly missed when he was given an opportunity to work in agriculture. In 1997, he began his employment at United Grain as a bookkeeper. Later at Farmway Co-op, he worked as a dry fertilizer applicator for several years, until he was given the opportunity to become the location manager at the Belleville agronomy facility. When CVA purchased Farmway, he continued as the location manager, gaining two elevators to manage until September prior to his death.

Todd also put in his time at the family grocery store as a young man and later at the restaurant, Tag's, which was opened in 2007.

Todd was united in marriage to Angie Duvall in 1990, later divorcing. With this union, they were blessed with two daughters, Tia and Brittany.

Todd was united in marriage to Katherine (Mohler) Sjolander on April 7, 2019, after a six year courtship. With this marriage, Todd gained four stepsons: Michael, Wyatt, Conray and Clancy.

Prior to Todd's marriage to Katherine, he played an important roll, as a father figure to Brady and later a stepfather to Madison, Karlee, and Paige.

Todd had several passions in his life, from spending time with family and friends, all genre of music, self-taught guitar playing, hot rods and motorcycles.

Todd was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee Garman, and Glen and Verla Roe.
