L-N Veteran's Day programs honors those who served

The end of World War One officially came on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. Within several years after that countries started using that date to honor those who died in that war. The day came to be called "Armistice Day."

In 1947, after World War Two, various observances to honor the military service men who died in all war started calling the day "Veterans Day."
