Rock Hills Jr.-Sr. High Career Day
Rock Hills Junior-Senior High School hosted the 2023 Career Day for junior high and high school students on Wednesday, Nov. 1. This is an event that is held every other year at the high school. This year the school invited 38 presenters and more than 15 different professions. These presenters talked to students about their careers and how they got started in those careers. They also talked about salaries, day in the life, schooling required and experiences they have had while working. Presenters were:

Agriculture - Midway Co-op, Solomon Valley Veterinary Hospital and Sideline Veterinary
Architecture and Construction - Schwab Eaton, Kevin Ost and Jean Istas
Welding - Kyle Kopsa and Bohnert Welding
Digital media, marketing and journalism - Bill Blauvelt and Kristin Mizner
Cosmetology - Pam Dunstan and Haley Nelson
Education - Leigh Gritten, Travis Cox and Kevin Feldkamp
Entrepreneurship - Kristin Underwood and Robin
Finance, banking and insurance - Pamela Wirth, Trevor Elkins and Brian Shulda
Government, law and politics - Jim Johnson and Jason Rabe
Health care - Michelle Lindberg, Nikki Vance and Vincent Urbanik
HVAC and plumbing - Grant Meyers
Law enforcement - Sam Caito and Carli Mcfarland
