Delmer E. Young, son of Vernon W. Young and Millie M. (Strine) Young, was born on April 3, 1935, at Seneca, Missouri, and died on Nov. 19, 2023, at Thayer County Health Services, Hebron, Nebraska, at the age of 88.

In Delmer’s early years, he lived in Taneyville, Missouri. The family later moved to Hebron where he met the love of his life. He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Barnes on Jan. 10, 1954.
