The Jewell County Community Foundation recently convened to review fall grant applications.
The following grants were awarded: Jewell County Strong, $5,000 from the Dane G. Hansen Fund for a building access-security system at the wellness center; the City of Webber, $5,000 from the Jewell County Community Fund for security lighting; the City of Jewell, $3,300 from the Jewell County Community Fund for rubber mulch; The Formoso Community Improvement Committee, $2,000 for an AED device; USD 107, $5,000 from the Dane G. Hansen Fund for tourism marketing website design; the Mankato City Library, $5,000 from the Dane G. Hansen Fund for a Sharp copier; and the Guardians of St. Luke’s Church and Cemetery, $1,000 from the Dane G. Hansen Fund for Building a website.
The above awards total $10,300 from the Jewell County Community Fund and $23,800 from the Dane G. Hansen Fund for $34,100.
If you would like to apply on behalf of your organization, the spring grant round opens on March 1, 2024, and closes on May 1.
