It may not have been the largest Christmas gathering ever, but 24 of the Lawrence American Legion Post No. 45 members, Auxiliary members and Sons of the American Legion members came to enjoy and evening of fun, food and fellowship on Dec. 7. A dinner of ham, potatoes and dressing, accompanied the carry-in salads and desserts brought in by the members was enjoyed by all. The event was held at the Lawrence American Legion Hall. A short history of the “Candy Cane” was presented and everyone went home with Candy Canes wishing all a Merry Christmas.
