December 28, 2023

Superior was defeated a 52- 25 at the hands of Alma last Tuesday. Losing is never fun, but they were ranked by Nebraska's MaxPreps 270th to Alma's ranking of 49th.

Dayne Clark, Superior, pulls down the rebound against Alma, last Tuesday.

Superior saw underclassman, Colten Butler, step up when he scored 72 percent of Superior's points and brought in 10 rebounds. It is the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Mason Korb helped the team with six points and six rebounds.

Thursday, Superior took on Cozad.

Cozad was favored to win the game with three straight wins at home, while Superior entered the game with four consecutive losses on the road. Cozad defeated the Wildcats 61 to 23.

This week the Wildcats travel to Central City for the Runza Holiday Tournament Friday and Saturday.
