Superior Wildcats, Lilly Edwards, Reagan Meyer, Sadie Cornell cover the key against Alma, last Tuesday.
Superior girls lost to Alma last Tuesday 42-58. Superior sparked their fans hopes for a win during the first quarter when they scored 17 points to Alma's nine. However, from there it was downhill for the Wildcats when Alma came back during the second quarter with 14 points to the Wildcats nine. The third quarter Alma scored 17 to Superior four and then finished the game for 18 points during the fourth quarter to Superior's 12.
Thursday, Superior girls rebounded with a 54-39 win over Cozad. The
Wildcats outscored Cozad in first, third and fourth quarters.
Overall this season, Sadie Cornell is leading the Cats in points per game and steals per game. Reagan Meyers is leading the team in rebounds per game and blocks and Faith Butler is leading in assists.
The Wildcat girls are scheduled to play in the Runza Holiday Tournament at Central City, Friday and Saturday.
