Donald Baumbach

Donald Ray Baumbach, the son of Delos and Elsie (Roberts) Baumbach, was born on Oct. 25, 1954, in Superior, Nebraska. He died on Jan. 1, 2024, at the Brod-stone Healthcare Hospital at Superior, Nebraska at the age of 69 years, 2 months, 7 days.

Don attended school at Superior. He was united in marriage to Tina Curry on July 14, 1990. Don was a friend to all and he never knew a stranger. He was an avid card player, loved his Husker football, enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Through the years he worked for several people when they were in need. He enjoyed going for rides and cherished his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delos and Elsie; his wife, Tina; brother, Dale; a half-brother, Larry Linton; and half-sister, Marcia Jones.

Survivors include his siblings, George Baumbach of Kalispell, Montana, Shirley Lackie of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Harold Baumbach of Kingsland, Texas, Una Hartman and husband, Leroy, of Hastings, Shelia Moore and husband, Ron, of Hardy, Nebraska, and Terry Baumbach and his wife, Debbie, of Superior, along with a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

His funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior with Pastor Bonnie Brock officiating.

Music will be "When I Get Where I'm Going," "I Will Remember You," "Only the Good Die Young" and "Stairway to Heaven."

Honorary pallbearers are all of Don's nieces and nephews.

Inurnment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior.

Memorials are suggested to go in care of the family.
