There will be a government commodities distribution for families meeting income guidelines for the Jewell-Randall-Ionia area at 1 p.m., on Thursday at the Jewell Apartments Commons Area.

The following foods are scheduled to be distributed: applesauce, canned

black beans, mixed fruit, green beans, diced tomatoes, long grain rice, beef stew, shredded cheddar cheese, frozen strawberry cup, frozen pork loin, 1 percent milk, frozen apple slices, pistachio nuts in shell, American cheese, whole almonds, refried beans and dried date pieces. The maximum monthly income that an individual can now earn and still qualify to receive commodities is $1,580.00 for a household of one person. Add $557 for each additional household member. Note: There is a limited supply of some of these items and items will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
