Raider wrestling compete at two meets

The L-N Raider wrestling team is easing back into action with two meets. One at the end of the year and one just last week. The young team is learning the tricks of the game and improving each meet.

The results:

FILLMORE CENTRAL: Held Dec. 30.

157 Pound Division: Augustus Harrison (1-9) had five matches, receiving a bye in one match and lost four.

175 Pound Division: Grayhm Beck (2-9) five matches, placed 9th. Won over teammate Brandt McLaughlin and won over opponent from Fillmore Central and had one bye.

175 Pound Division: Brandt McLaughlin (2-12) Five matches: lost first three matches and won final match over opponent from Fillmore Central.

285 Pound Division: Nathan Elledge (9-9) placed 6th: five matches, lost all five matches his last by a medical forfeit.

FRANKLIN INVITE: A Jan. 6 trip to Franklin produced the following results:


113 Pound Division; Noah Bardon (0-4), two matches and lost both.

144 Pound Division: Leslie Corman (0-6) two matches and lost both.

157 Pound Division: Augustus Harrison (1-11) three matches, lost first match, received a bye and lost to opponent from Hastings High.

175 Pound Division: Brandt McLaughlin (2-14) three matches and lost two and received a bye.

285 Pound Division: Nathan Elledge (11-11) four matches. Won first by a fall over an Alma opponent; lost in the quarterfinal round; won first consolation match by a fall over a Kearney opponent; lost final match of the day to an opponent from Ellis High School.

The boys will be busy this week with three matches in three days. Today (Thursday) at the Superior Quad; Friday, Jan. 12 at the Superior Invitational and Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Palmer Invitational.
