Lomeata Higer

Elizabeth "Lomeata" Higer, was born Dec. 14, 1929, in Clarkville, Tennessee, to Herman and RB (Eads) Suiter and died Jan. 29, 2024, at Jewell County Hospital Long Term Care in Mankato, Kansas, at the age of 94.

On Feb. 13, 1952, in Fairbury, Nebraska, she was united in marriage to Gaylord Higer. This union was blessed with three children: Linda, Steve and Daniel.

She enjoyed playing bingo and time with her family.

Lomeata is survived by daughter, Linda (Rodney) Payne and son, Daniel (Janet) Higer of Mankato, and Terry Thompson of McCook; grandchildren: Brent Beck, Mankato; Kristene (Scott) Boyles of Superior; Amanda (Matt) Cudney of Spokane, Washington; Nick Higer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Tycen Higer and Mason Higer of Hays, Kansas; Bret (Arianne) Engel of Wamego, Kansas; Travis Novak of Lost Springs, Kansas; and Amy; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; brother, Carl Suiter of Marietta, California; and many nieces and nephew.

Lomeata was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gaylord; son, Steve; sisters, Mary and Sara.

A private family service was held at Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to go to the family.
