Velene Sporhase, the daughter of Dale and Minnie (Root) Stall, was born on May 6, 1947, in Lincoln, Nebraska. She died on Feb. 3, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society’s Superior, Nebraska, home at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 28 days.

Velene grew up in Eagle, Nebraska. She was a high school graduate and attended college. Family was her life, she truly loved spending time with them and also finding that favorite fishing hole. For a time, she lived in Eagle. She entered the Superior Good Samaritan Society in 2022 where she lived until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Shorty Stall.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Sporhase, Jr., of Superior, Marsha Sporhase of Palmyra and Marcy Sporhase; seven grandchildren, Josh Sporhase, Zack Olsen, Tyler Olsen, Katie Davidson, Anthony Davidson, Raven Large and Xander Teubert; other relatives and a host of friends.

A private family service will be held.
