SHS girls basketball heads for post-season

February 15, 2024

Reagan Myers drives in for two during the game with Sandy Creek, last Thursday.

It's do or die time for the Superior High School girls basketball team as they opened subdistrict C-2-2 play at Superior Tuesday against the winner of Monday's Wilber-Clatonia-Southern game.

Faith Butler shoots from the three point line, during the game with Lawrence-Nelson, Friday.

Superior is the host school for the subdistrict match-ups. Tri County took on Thayer Central in the other Tuesday game. Superior should play the winner of that game for the opportunity to advance to the district finals. Should Superior lose, it will be a nerve wracking wait as they currently hold the number 10 slot in wildcard points.

Superior closed out their regular season schedule with 60-38 win over Sandy Creek, at Sandy Creek Thursday and finished with a 46-17 win, and county bragging rights, over Lawrence-Nelson, at Nelson Friday. Superior finished with a 16-7 regular season record.
